Well today Braxton started his Horse Back riding lessons in Perth! I wasn't sure how he was going to react. I kept telling him today we are going to see the horses. He didn't know what I meant but I kept on it, what does a horse say etc...
So when we drove up to the stables he said, "oohhh"

We got out of the van and he RAN right up to the horses. No Fear!! Seems like I'm saying that a lot these days! The people there are great! They took right over with him, showed him how to approach the horse, touch the horse and how to brush the horse. He loved it! When it was time to get on the horse he took the ladies hand and off they went onto the horse. There is one person that leads the horse and then two people one on either side of the horse so that he doesn't' fall off. Very Safe, and the horses they use are very calm.

When he was on the horse they trot and walk around the pasture, they blew bubbles and had him hold a ball while they were walking.

After about 25 minutes of walking around on this horse he had had enough and wanted off.

They tried to keep him on and distract him from wanting off, but his mind was set!

So after he got off he brushed the horse!

Next time I'll bring a carrot or apple for him to feed the horse cause I think he would have liked that too. Our next riding lesson is next Thursday.

May 2 2007

Well Chris started his new job yesterday and all went well. He's a little overwhelmed right now with everything needed to learn working for a dealership. For those of you that aren't sure he's started at Dodge Chrysler here in Smiths Falls, which is great cause it's only 6 minutes drive to work and the hours are great. 7am to 5 pm, no weekends.
I'm still enjoying my job, except for days like this. I thought if I'm paying for a full day of care I'm going to send Braxton for a full day. When I went to drop him off he was crying and holding onto my neck soo tight. I felt soo bad, especially since I don't have to work until 11am and I was dropping him off at 9am.
Babysitter was going to the store to get diapers, so when I arrived she had all the kids in the van waiting for B so they could all get going. Maybe that's why he was upset? If he was able to just go off and play maybe things would have been different.
Can't wait to go pick him up so that I can hug him and cuddle him.
Being a parent is soo heartwrenching.
