May Is Here!!!

Well,what a great weekend! On Friday night Chris's Mom came over, stayed the night and babysat Braxton for most of the day Saturday. Chris and I went with Mike and Christina to Watertown N.Y. to spend the day shopping and just being away from the kids. Great fun had by all I think. On our way back from Watertown Mike decided to take us the longest way home humanly possible!! But we eventually made it back to SmithsFalls where we had parked our car. Only to find out as we were leaving SmithsFalls that we had a flat tire. Luckily Mike and Christina hadn't taken off yet, so the boys managed the tire while Christina and I came back to Lanark. The kids came back to our place and we all ate pizza and wings for a late dinner.
We had soo much fun Saturday and since the weather was supposed to be nice Sunday Mike invited us over for a BBQ in the afternoon. Another Great day had by all, We had fun on the new trampoline, I managed to do things I didn't think I could still do!! We went 4 wheeling and then came back for great porkchops off the BBQ. The weather was 20 degrees, sunny and just gorgeous! Not much longer before the bugs come out!

Braxton has added a few new words to his vocabulary. He can now say Juice and Uh OO!
We have started a course called, "It takes Two to Talk". It is geared towards helping parents of children that don't talk yet. Gives you tools and strategies to try with your child. The course is 12 weeks long and we go every Wednesday night to the Perth Hospital for 2 hours. Every third week we do a video tape session where the speach pathologist comes into our home and video tapes myself and Chris interacting with Braxton. Then we watch the video and the speach Path gives us praise and or constructive criticism.
We still work with Monica, his Infant Development worker, but now we can also add Tracy, our speach Path to our list of helpers. Once Braxton turns 2 years olds, we will just have Tracy and we'll have to say GoodBye to Monica.
